The Society of St Vincent de Paul is hosting Breakfast with SVP on Sunday, April 18 instead of its usual Top of the Mount Brunch. The change was necessary with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Patrons have three options for breakfast: veggie $50, saltfish $50 and stew chicken $50. They are available from Darren John: 307-3321, Ayesha Samuel 380-5861 and SVP head office Port of Spain Stacy Roach 625-3562. The funds raised will be used to offset operational costs at the SVP secretariat and institutions it manages.
The Top of the Mount Brunch started 27 years ago, originally held at Benet Hall at the Mount. It sought the patronage of hikers using the trail in the area and persons attending Mass at the Our Lady of Exile chapel. The event grew in popularity and was shifted to the St John Vianney and Uganda Martyrs seminary hall and thereafter to the grounds of the seminary.
