Sando Boys’ RC receive Cub Scout award

Six pupils who attend the San Fernando Boys’ RC School received the President’s Cub Scout Award at a “mini-awards” held at Our Lady of Perpetual Help RC Church, San Fernando on March 7. They were: (from left) Adrian John-Thomas, Daniel George, Marcus McDonald, Mickel Kattick, Patrick Jean Michael and Azariah Gopaul. At front is Darion McDonald, who came second in the Founder’s Day Virtual Weekend Camp in February.

Fr Jason Boatswain and Lynley Lutchmedial, Scouts District Commissioner Victoria District and National Scout Commissioner Mark Ainsley John delivered remarks.  The awards for the period 2018–2019 were to be presented by the Chief Scout, the President in 2020 but was delayed because of COVID-19. The boys earned the award for their proficiency and earning badges in various activities e.g., cook badge, global issues awareness badge, emergency aid.
