Saturday February 6th: Refresh, Restore, Revive

“Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.”

Mark 6:30-34

In today’s reading, we find Jesus inviting the apostles to get to a quiet spot to refresh themselves. Jesus loves and cares about us the same way he cared for His apostles and invites us too to come away and rest a while. It will surely help us to go to a ‘deserted place’ occasionally to allow our souls to catch up. As we journey through this unprecedented time, let us heed that call to get away from it all, even if it is right here during our ‘Daily Reflection”.
Lord, thank you for your invitation. Restore my worn self and re-orient me to what really matters. Help me to experience the peace the apostles would have experienced.
