There is always a call within the call for a select bounty, a more profound seeing with the eyes of Him who sees.
Mark 1:14-20
You leave your net behind in order to take it up again. James and John left their father Zebedee in the boat but his shadow stayed with them right to the other side. There is always the new casting to starboard, in a wider ocean, a deeper sea, always a fractious storm, a gnawing hunger; always a deeper purpose for the vocation; there is always a call within the call for a select bounty, a more profound seeing with the eyes of Him who sees.
When Him calls, him drop net at once and follow. Every work can be good work. Every worker can become a good worker if they allow their work to signify a deeper happening, a greater endurance, a whisper that transforms the soul, making it ready for the kingdom.
Don’t be easily defined by the device in your hand, by the machine at your command, or the amount of followers you enlist. But rather be marked by the ability to respond to that calling to turn and re-cast your net in this wider trembling sea.
