After only two days in captivity, a kidnapped religious sister has been freed. According to information sent to Agenzia Fides by the Secretary General of the Conference of Religious of Haiti, Fr Gilbert Peltrop, Sr Dachoune Sévère, a religious of the Congregation of the Little Sisters of Saint Teresa of the Child Jesus, who had been kidnapped by armed bandits on Friday, January 8 was released by her kidnappers on Sunday, January 10.
She is currently back in her community. “We give thanks to God for the release of the nun, and at the same time we thank all those who prayed for her release.” writes Fr Gilbert Peltrop.
