Love always reaches out, love always heals, love always restores, love always gives life.
Luke 5: 12 – 16.
Today’s gospel shows how clear Jesus was about his mission. He confirmed that he was the human face of his heavenly Father who is love. Love always reaches out, love always heals, love always restores, love always gives life.
When the leper asked if he would heal him, Jesus responded without hesitation, “Of course, I want to”. Jesus always wants to love us, as the Father does. He convinces us that God’s love is true and constant.
At times we ask but are not sure if God hears or will respond. Our prayers and petitions ought to be trusting and hopeful. Keep in mind that God wants to show us love. God loves us more than we can imagine. He will not lie to us or deceive us.
Ask one simple question today: “What healing do I need most?” Is it physical healing, or emotional, relational, or self esteem. Today, ask the Lord to heal you; and believe! He wants to!
