The Archdiocese of Port of Spain, in solidarity with the Government of Trinidad and Tobago began a four-week public service COVID-19 awareness campaign, Monday, November 30 leading up to Christmas Day.
The ‘CatholicTT COVID-19 Awareness Campaign’ was created in the spirit of helping to deepen the awareness of the general public about the importance of wearing a mask when in public places, maintaining a 6ft distance from others and sanitising hands as part of the Government’s efforts to prevent the spread of the virus.
With the hashtag #MASKON #SOCIALDISTANCE #DUTYDONE as slogans, citizens are encouraged to promote the initiative by sharing the weekly posts found on CatholicTT social media platforms.
The CatholicTT campaign will also instruct citizens on how to get through the Christmas season via the themes of Hope—that we will be able to embrace each other again; Faith—that if all follow the COVID-19 protocols, next year would be better; Joy in reconnecting with loved ones and Peace in knowing that God will continue to take care of us.
