The voice of family values seems drowned out by the voice of social media and virtual friends.
Matthew 9:35; 10:1, 6-8
As parents, my husband and I are facing the disease and sickness of social media and its negative influence on our children. The voice of family values seems drowned out by the voice of social media and virtual friends.
Jesus has given parents authority over their children; this includes their spiritual welfare. The Church has given us the weapons that are needed to drive out the demons: prayer, fasting, sacramentals and love.
Filling our home with blessed objects; regular use of holy water, blessed oil and salt; the Mass and Eucharist; fasting and offering up little things to God each day for the salvation of our family; and being the louder voice, i.e. showing love to the children no matter what; this counters the voices that are trying to tell them we don’t care.
We will win this war because Jesus promised victory through Faith and Love. Amen.
