Don’t leave God to the last minute or ignore Him and then hope for the best.
Luke 17: 26 – 37.
We usually are not caught unawares by special or significant events. Birthdays, anniversaries, graduations, weddings, retirements, etc. are special events in our lives and we prepare long in advance for them.
The day of the Son of Man is a significant day in terms of salvation. We know it is coming. We just do not know what day or time. But despite the fact that we cannot pinpoint the exact day or time does not mean we can leave it up to chance. We must be ready.
In the midst of our daily living we must give a thought to the day of the Son of Man. That means, we must make time for the Lord. We must make time for personal prayer and communal worship. Life is not only about daily obligations. It is also about faith-building. Don’t leave God to the last minute or ignore him and then hope for the best. Make God an important part of daily life.
