Loving not easy especially before morning coffee
Matthew 22: 34-40
Ah get up one morning; first ting ah feeling to dis everybody close to me: family members, siblings and colleagues. Ah just feeling like if I ‘cast pearls among swine,’ I have been tampered with, soiled by indiscriminate associations that now turn-round to bit me.
Then I heard the words of the preachers who gave their entire lives to the service, Frs Bernier and Ventour, grant them healing O Lord: don’t let your enemies exist outside the circle of your love. Widen up, big-up yuh heart-cave. Let them at least, hang on at the rim of the outside circle, then slowly draw them in.
I heard Bishop Charles, telling Maurice Bishop of the PRA, God rest their souls: just pray boy, pray even as the enemies plot against you.
Loving not easy especially before morning coffee, yuh could end up going round in circles. Like any sport, it takes 10,000 hours of practice to even be considered for the team; because if yuh don’t know how to love, yuh hurt people.
