Be like men waiting for their master to return.
Luke 12: 35 – 38
The saying, “live each day as if it is your last” comes to mind after reading today’s Gospel. Much easier said than done, right!
The reality that each day could be my last, though true, is a difficult pill to swallow. I wonder if I have truly lived a life prepared to meet our Lord. Often, I feel like the tax collector in the temple (Luke 18: 9 – 14) praying “God be merciful to me, a sinner”.
Yet somehow, no matter how difficult or desperate the situation, we must find a way to persevere and stay awake for the Lord’s coming.
Especially in these current times, where so many are likening current events to end of days predictions,
I pray that we each find our own way to prepare for the Master’s return.
