Many are called but few are chosen.
Matthew 22: 1-14
Today’s Gospel passage reflects on being chosen. We are all called by God, but not forced. Our response to God is based on the gift of free will. We can respond to God whole heartedly, half heartedly or not at all.
A CHOSEN person is one called and one who responds whole heartedly, with God constantly guiding the life of the chosen. The chosen wears the garment of the Spirit of God through daily, intimate prayer and devotion to God.
How am I responding to God? Am I displaying the actions of one chosen or of one half heartedly responding? Am I attentive to God? Does God occupy and guide my thoughts, words and actions?
Lord Jesus, I surrender my life to you this morning asking that you make me attentive to your call and help me to respond to you whole heartedly. Remove all distractions from my life and take control, guiding me along the right path. Amen.
