The roof of the Maraval RC School was replaced after a section was badly damaged by gusty winds from a tropical cyclone on July 29.
A large crew of workers with the National Maintenance Training and Security Ltd were on site from August 1 working through the weekend until the roof and rafters were replaced. Work on the ceiling was well underway yesterday Monday, August 3 to be completed by today.
Electricals which were damaged with the roof were also being replaced. Upon completion of the project the school will again be thoroughly sanitised.
On Monday, August 10 it will be used as a polling station for the 2020 general election.
