Do not be afraid of them….
Matthew 10:26-33
Jesus says do not be afraid of people who attack us and come against us. Often they come from a place of darkness, untruth, falsities and mischief with hidden agendas but Jesus promises that what is now hidden will be made clear. They and their intentions will be revealed. He assures us again, ‘Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul’. He wants us to live out of our changeless core centered on Him.
Jesus assures us in this Gospel that He knows us and He is paying attention to every detail about us and our lives. We are worth a lot to Jesus so He says again there is no need to be afraid. Not being afraid allows us to declare ourselves for Jesus in the presence of men even when we are under attack. Jesus will then declare Himself for us in the presence of His Father.
