“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven”
Matthew 7:21-29
The readings today are direct in their approach, telling us what is needed to be a true follower of Christ.
God is not interested in you being “religiously correct”, saying the right things, knowing every rite, response and ritual. The Father desires intimate relationship with his followers, men and women of God who will seek Him out, listen to Him and do His will.
Oftentimes, we get sidetracked, we want to do God’s work, but we are busy doing our own thing, seeking to please other masters or just simply doing nothing at all.
The Father desires your complete surrender to Him. How is your relationship with God right now? What is this relationship based on?
