Let our voices be heard from the housetops telling everyone of life’s greatest treasure: God’s love for us, a love that lasts forever.
Matthew 10: 26-33
Sometimes, Jesus reminds His disciples that the Father’s loving care is worth more than their daily needs; sometimes he speaks of the poor, the stranger, the ‘little ones’, and the Father’s special love for them. Today He speaks to the heart of His disciples, reminding them they are precious in the eyes of God, and the price He is prepared to pay for them.
More than this, he wants the whole world to know. He says: GO! Tell everyone what you already know! Announce from the housetops the Good News of God’s everlasting love for the world.
And which one of us does not need to hear this truth, now and then; to be rescued by His saving hand, now and then; to be led out of the darkness where we have strayed, now and then? And who else, apart from the Son, can tell us of the Father’s Love? Called to be sons, let our voices be heard from the housetops telling everyone of life’s greatest treasure: God’s love for us, A LOVE THAT LASTS FOREVER.
