June 20th: Intimacy with Jesus

“They went to look for him”

Luke 2:41 – 52

When do we look for Jesus? Many times we do when we are in need of something: to pass an exam, to get a job, to be healed from illness, help with finances or with broken relationships. Is this the relationship that we should have with Jesus? Certainly not. Jesus (divine and human) came to bring us into intimacy with God.

Mary went in search of her son, the human Jesus, but found the God, Jesus. Our Blessed Mother, Mary can help us to search, find and come into intimacy with Jesus. Let us ask her for help by just praying and meditating on one decade of the Holy Rosary each day.

Holy Mother, pray for me today that my heart and mind may desire intimacy with Jesus. Help me to know and love him as you did. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death.
