You are there, involved in every aspect of my life,
Keeping me sharper than the Last Supper’s knife.
Like a sister, granny, aunty, cousin, mother,
You’ve always been there for me like no other.
Intellectual in your ways,
Creative in your plays,
You were there since the beginning, during,
And I know you’ll be there at the end of the maze.
With you, there’s no such thing as a mistake.
Everything has potential to lead me to the pearled gates.
Though you shake the earth, scorch the place, and force the wind in my way,
You’re never too slow with water to help me survive and make my way.
You shape me with all your powers,
Yet you’re as pleasant as a garden of flowers.
I may not understand the method to your madness,
But I have full faith it will lead me to gladness.
I love who you are in all your glory.
It’s insane that you chose to make me part of your story.
