March 19th: My Father’s House

I love to spend time in Churches outside of Mass time.

Luke 2:41 – 51

I love to spend time in Church outside of Mass time. There are the quiet times when there are few people in the Church. The Cathedral, Our Lady of Perpetual Help in San Fernando and Mount St. Benedict are peaceful places where I can go during the week just to be in my Father’s House. Alas, I do not do this as often as I would like to do.

There are also the times like Lenten retreats when I try to go to neighbouring  Parishes as well as my own Parish and hear the sermons.

I cannot imagine my life without these visits. While I , therefore, know some of Mary and Joseph’s pain when they could not find Jesus; I, however, can understand Jesus wanting to be in His Father’s House.

My prayer today, is to never lose sight of Jesus and that I try to find more time to spend in my Father’s House.
