The Catholic Bible Institute will host a Sunday of the Word of God– Mini Bible Fair on Sunday, January 26 at the Institute’s grounds, Frederick Settlement, Caroni.
Next Sunday is the inaugural ‘Word of God Sunday’ in the universal Church as proclaimed by Pope Francis (See pages 12 and 13). From this year, Word of God Sunday will be marked on the Third Sunday of Ordinary Time.
The Mini Bible Fair begins at 10 a.m. with various activities including Bibliodrama, encounter booths and workshops.
The booths will deal with Meditation (Dawn Commissiong), Lectio Divina (Pat Howai) and Proclamation (Alfred Wafe). The two workshop sessions are ‘Preaching’ with the Evangelisation Commission from 10 a.m. to noon, and ‘Reading the Bible as the Word of God’ to be led by Archbishop Jason Gordon from 12.30 to 2 p.m.
The event concludes with Holy Mass from 2.30 p.m. Papal Nuncio, Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu will be the chief celebrant. The Enthronement of the Bible ceremony will be performed during Holy Mass.
All are invited and admission is free. Light refreshments will be provided.
