‘Call on Canvas’ the Experience!

There will be a ‘Day of Art’ for young artists registered for the ‘Call on Canvas’ project which will be hosted at the Seminary of St John Vianney, Mt St Benedict on Saturday, January 4, 2020. Registered persons will be able to participate in a meditative art class, followed by a session on understanding the basics of artistic form and the different forms of art.

After these two sessions, persons will then complete a ‘plein air’. A plein air is where persons observe the landscape and allow the landscape to inspire their work.

All the activities will be focused around mediation and the scriptures. Facilitators will be present to do mediation, encourage discussion on God’s

Call and for participants to practise drawings and paintings.
