Being on mission calls for unity, youth told

BELIZE

The Extraordinary Mission Month calls for unity! It does not call for complacency, jealousy, malice, envy nor back-biting, asserted Bishop Lawrence Nicasio of Belize City and Belmopan to the youth at the Mission Month’s Youth Rally closing Mass held at the Belize Civic Center on Thursday, October 31.

Bishop Nicasio declared, “We have one faith. We share in one baptism. We belong to one Lord and God of all.”

The Mission Month theme Baptised and Sent: The Church of Christ on Mission in the World highlights that the Church on mission is not the Bishop, nuns or the lay ministers alone.

“The Lord God has given us everything we need to do our part to make His Church fully alive. The gift you have been freely given, give it as a gift!” he said. He invited all gathered to affirm, “I am a Roman Catholic. I have been baptised and sent.”
