The Synod on the Amazon in Rome ended last month but what does that mean for our region? This question has probed the minds and hearts of many and considering this, SIGNIS Caribbean, in collaboration with the Antilles Episcopal Conference of Bishops (AEC), has decided to host a free online conversation.

This conversation will take place on Wednesday, November 27 at 6.30 p.m. via Zoom Online Conferencing.

It hopes to bring awareness on the Synod on the Amazon, its genesis, the impact of the Amazon on the Caribbean and what is the next move now that the meeting is adjourned. SIGNIS Caribbean is an association of Caribbean Catholic media practitioners and professionals.

This is your opportunity to ask questions and get answers. Participants will be joined by AEC President Bishop Gabriel Malzaire; Bishop Emmanuel Lafont of Cayenne, French Guiana; and Leah Casimero and Silverius Perry, representatives from the Diocese of Georgetown, Guyana. All four participants attended the Synod.
