The annihilation of the woman

The freedoms wrought by the sexual revolution of the 1960s constituted a double-edged sword for women, for while men were free to indulge their sexual inclinations whenever and with whomever they pleased (HIV was not yet a concern), women were expected to be on the pill and they did indulge as well, and still do.

As Virginia Ironside reflected in a January 2011 Mail Online article, ‘The Flip Side of the Sexual Revolution:’ We paid the price for free love, women were not generally happy with their lot, “because however one tried to separate sex from love, we’d been brought up to associate the two; … when we weren’t crying, we’d giggle … about our exploits, without realizing how damaging our sexual behaviour was both to our self-esteem and our souls.”

Today, women are still discovering the serious consequences of oral contraceptive use, among which breast and cervical cancer, cardiovascular disease, and even permanent infertility. But the search for a male contraceptive has been derailed over the last 50 years because the men in the studies experienced side effects such as mood disorders and acne!

In ‘The Colonization of Womanhood’ (November 2016, Melanin + Estrogen), Yolanda puts forth that in general, it is women’s spaces that are invaded by transgenderism.

Today in certain countries, any man can legally claim to be a woman, merely by saying that he is, and this gives him the right to use women’s bathrooms and be placed in women’s prisons.

For example, in Ontario, Ontario-born transgender people are allowed to change the gender on their Ontario-only birth certificates without sex reassignment surgery; transgender women have won beauty pageants like Miss Spain 2018 Angela Ponce; compete in women’s sporting events; and have been named “Working Mother/Woman of the Year” (Meghan Stabler, 2014).

“Menstruation” and “pregnancy” are apparently no longer female markers. Indeed, to declare such is adjudged to be prejudicial to men who claim female identity.

Women themselves have been complicit in this bizarre turn of events.

A few years ago the Midwives Alliance of North America (MANA) took a decision to excise all mention of the words “mother” and “woman” from most of their literature because such language was offensive to those who identify as men.  The female human beings they catered to would henceforth be referred to as “pregnant persons”.

Across in the United Kingdom, according to a LifeSiteNews article of July 19, 2019, a 32-year-old woman who identifies as a man, and who elected nevertheless to become impregnated through artificial insemination, is now suing the General Register for the right to be named “father” on her son’s birth certificate. Her argument is that “all children should be able to have their legal parents correctly and accurately recorded on their birth certificates”.

Fortunately, we know that God’s Word is true. It is indeed through “the woman” that we will be rescued from the darkness that is transgenderism.

In Genesis 3:15 God pledges after the Fall: “And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”

Mary, Mother of all Nations, pray for us.
