GUYANA
six delegates (two priests, one Sister and three lay people), along with Bishop Francis Alleyne OSB of Georgetown represented Guyana at the first-ever Mission Congress in the Antilles Episcopal Conference (AEC), which was held in Trinidad and Tobago September 17–22.
They are: Angie Sukai, head of Religious Education in the diocese; Mother Maria Nikopoia Klobe SSVM who does pastoral work in the North West; Joannah Ramsammy, student; Fr Pedro Torres IVE; Fr John Persaud, Vicar for Clergy; and Roxanne Douglas, youth coordinator for the Diocese.
The Congress gathered together eight bishops along with 115 persons representing 16 territories in the region. All the territories except the Diocese of Hamilton, Bermuda were represented.
