Come feel the rhythm!

A platform to feel the rhythm of God’s heartbeat, of time, faith and the symphony of creation will be offered through Trinity TV’s upcoming telethon.

The programme kicks off on June 9 at 2 p.m. with six hours live entertainment.
The telethon is themed Feel the Rhythm and promises not to disappoint as it follows a line-up of local talent—music, song, poetry, dance and hosted by some well-known personalities.

For those who want to be a part of the ‘live’ studio audience, an upper room at Living Water Community’s Centre will be on fire with the Holy Spirit as this day also coincides with the feast of Pentecost.

Over the past 15 years, Trinity TV’s telethon was centred on celebrating the unique creative talents of local artistes and their ability to use music in their ministry. It also serves the purpose as a fundraiser, providing an opportunity for audiences to show their support to the Trinity Communications Network (TCN) by pledging donations.

Commenting on the production process, Station Manager, Lisa Bhajan shared with Catholic News that the event engages their entire team from concept to production.
“We never know from one year to the next what our next theme will be. We wait to see what will come into being, how will the Spirit inspire us this time? As the creative juices flow and our imaginations are triggered, it is so amazing to see what unfolds!” she said.

Bhajan noted there is at least 50 per cent pre-production from graphics to edits, from set design to set creation, from booking of artistes to booking of production crew.
While the crew is made up of full-time staff, part-time workers and volunteers also join in, some of whom are non-Catholics. “We also rely on a professional production coordinator and a technical engineer to oversee the six-hour live premiere show as it is a very complicated shoot. They are always extremely supportive and we consider them as part of our TCN family. Both are from Full Gospel churches.”

Feel the Rhythm was inspired from last year’s theme Imagine, where viewers were encouraged to use their ‘religious imagination’. The year 2019 exemplifies how that can be done through music. the telethon the station will incorporate the Archdiocese’s pastoral priority (Hospitality, Homilies & Hymns) encouraging the faithful to focus on the importance of music within their liturgies as the Church recognises how inspirational songs such as spiritual hymns can transport, transform and lift our spirits.

The telethon will be week-long with a grand finale on Sunday, June 16, 12 – 4 p.m.
