Three men in the Diocese received the ministry of lector on their journey to becoming permanent deacons. Eardley Martin, Eustace Francis and Ancel Knights became lectors at the Cathedral of the Assumption, Kingstown January 19.
The diaconate programme is being facilitated by Dayton University, Ohio, US and the men have been on the journey for the past three or so years; an experience that they all say has helped them to grow in faith and commitment to church.
The next step on the journey of these three men is to be ordained as acolytes and then as deacons. – Adapted from Catholic SVG
