Update on AEC Mission Congress

From the AEC Secretariat

The AEC Mission Congress will be held from  September 19 – 22 and to begin this extraordinary mission event, all  primary and secondary schools have been invited to send school teachers and students to participate in the children’s/schools’ rally. Three thousand students and teachers are expected to attend.

A number of suggested ideas for the opening ceremony included dance, drama, Spoken Word, steel band music, and mention was made of this year’s contribution to the Junior Calypso Monarch Competition ‘God’s Army’. Trumpets, recorded music as well as live music are expected for the fanfare.

The Ministry of Education (MoE) has given blanket permission for all Catholic schools to attend the rally. With regard to the Government schools specifically, principals will decide how many children will attend and the Ministry will then give permission for those children.

As it is an AEC event, other territories are involved and will be asked how they see themselves participating in the Opening Ceremony.

If you are interested in volunteering your time, talent and/or treasure we ask you to visit pmsantilles.org or send us an email at aecmissioncongress@gmail.com. Please continue to pray for us as we journey towards the first ever AEC Mission Congress 2019!
