Trinity TV puts a new spin on the classic music video countdowns dominating radio and secular TV.

The programme, Let’s Inspire Together (LIT) will feature inspirational and gospel music genres of predominantly local artistes. Adding to the buzz, LIT welcomes persons to share their inspirational stories. Among them artistes, musicians, entrepreneurs and even Archbishop Jason Gordon.

LIT’s host, Khadija Glasgow told the Catholic News that she had hosted the Trinity TV telethon for the past three years and her effervescent personality drew attention.

“They wanted to have me host a new show and I thought it would be great to be part of a show that helped inspire others,” said Glasgow. She described the merging of a music countdown and interviews as “going hand in hand”.

“People are often drawn to others they can identify and connect with. We all like music in some form and you often find you are able to connect to someone through their music.”

The first show will premiere on Tuesday, February 19 at 8 p.m. with a re-broadcast on Friday, February 22 at 9 p.m. Their guest line up will be Isaac Blackman (musician), Jessica James (Miss Trinidad and Tobago 2018 finalist) and Nakasa Thatcher-Roberts (make-up artist).

With Glasgow’s schedule as a Theatre Arts teacher, LIT will be aired once a month but she is optimistic it will be more frequent in future. Notwithstanding, she hopes the opportunity will be “impactful” as it will get a lot of inspirational content out to Catholic and non-Catholics alike.

Trinity TV is also optimising its web-TV presence so the show can also be viewed online via tcntt.com.

The eight videos that make it to the countdown are determined via social media. Persons can look out daily for nominees with the highest votes for one international, two regional and five local music videos will be aired.
