Catholic Raffle Extravaganza

An excellent collection of prizes has been organised by Commissions and Departments of the Archdiocese of Port of Spain in support of the various Ministries.

The Commissions and Departments involved are: Archdiocesan Catechetical Office, Archdiocesan Family Life Commission, CREDI, CEBM, Catholic Commission for Social Justice, Pontifical Mission Society, Liturgical Commission, Evangelization Commission, and Youth Commission.

The Ministries have highlighted that this is by far the biggest raffle giveaway that they are hosting, and perhaps the greatest surprise is the list and value of the prizes, taking into consideration the cost of a mere $20 per raffle ticket.

There are ten prizes to be won:

1^st prize: an iPhone, iWatch and iPad

2^nd prize: Tobago Getaway for a family of four for three nights

3^rd prize:  40-inch Frigidaire stove and $2,000 food vouchers

4^th prize: Mancave—50-inch flat-screen TV and mount

5^th prize:  Students World—laptop, bag and Bluetooth speaker

6^th prize: Gamer’s World—PS4 package and three games

7^th prize:  Dress to Impress—$5,000 worth of clothing vouchers

8^th prize: Girls Getaway Spa and Brunch day for four persons

9^th prize: a Mr Fix It tool set

10^th prize: Fitness Buff—Three-month gym membership and clothing vouchers.

The proceeds from this grand raffle all go back to the various Ministries to support the further development of the programmes hosted throughout the year – catechetics, education, family life, liturgy, social justice, and youth.

These programmes facilitate our care for individuals and members of the community who require assistance.

Archbishop Jason Gordon has expressed his full support. “The grand raffle is quite an amazing raffle, many, many, many amazing prizes to be won and it is important for us as an Archdiocese because this is going to support all of the ministries so that the Archdiocese will really benefit tremendously…Get a ticket, buy a book, buy two books.”

The draw takes place on January 31 at the Catholic Centre, Chaguanas at 11 a.m.
