Pope Francis has appointed Apostolic Administrator, Bishop Robert Llanos to the Diocese of St John’s-Basseterre. The appointment was made public last Tuesday at noon, Rome time.
Bishop Llanos’ installation will take place on his 61st birthday, February 3, 2019 at the Holy Family Cathedral, St John’s, Antigua.
He was Vicar General (2011– 2013) and Auxiliary Bishop of Port of Spain (2013–2016) until Pope Francis appointed him Apostolic Administrator of the St John’s-Basseterre diocese June 20, 2016.
The St John’s-Basseterre diocese encompasses the islands of Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat and the British Virgin Islands.
