‘Tanty Ben’ turns 90

Benita ‘Tanty Ben’ Aguilal of Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC Talparo, recently celebrated her 90^th birthday. Tanty Ben is a true servant of the Lord. She has served in the choir, the Society of St Vincent de Paul, prayer group, charismatic group, attended every rally, conference or event held by the Church, and sold the most tickets for any fundraiser.

Today at 90 she is still serving as our Catholic News salesperson. Bishop Emeritus Malcolm Galt CSSp celebrated Mass with us that Sunday so she was elated to receive her birthday blessing from him.

We are looking forward to many more years of service from Tanty Ben. – A parishioner
