Haitian priest to speak at JE XVI

The Jesus Explosion XVI will be held at the Trinity College East Auditorium from July 13 to 15. Although a large percentage of the participants is youth, the event caters for the young adult and the young at heart. The theme for this year is taken from Matthew 24:42 Stay Awake! For you do not know on which day your Lord will come.

Our feature speaker is Fr Louis Merosne. Fr Louis was born in Haiti and ordained in 2011. He now serves in Haiti in the Diocese of Anse -a-Veau and Mirageane. He is a much sought after preacher of the Good News and is spearheading efforts to alleviate the suffering left after Hurricane Matthew in Haiti.

Other speakers include Apostolic Nuncio Archbishop Fortunatus Nwachukwu, Fr Ian Taylor (Spiritual Director – JE), Fr Godfrey Stoute and Fr Trevor Nathasingh.

Mass will be celebrated at 7 a.m. on Saturday and at 3 p.m. on Sunday. There is also an invocation of the Holy Spirit and Adoration, Procession and Ministry with the Blessed Sacrament.

The main music ministry is GRACE with the San Raphael Church Choir in a supporting role. There will be a number of faith building workshops, riveting testimonies and a skit written and directed by Leeum

Quan Kep. The Jesus Explosion also expects missionaries from Slovenia, Jamaica and Guyana who have experienced the event.
