Trinidadian ordained to diaconate

Br Jesse Maingot OP was ordained to the diaconate last Monday at St Saviour’s Dominican Church, Dublin, Ireland. Rev Maingot’s parents Abigail and Roger (in photo), as well as a number of friends from T&T were present. Rev Maingot said in a Facebook post, “Thank you so much to all of you who came out to support and pray for us as we were ordained deacons! I am forever grateful to my Dominican community who continue to lead me in the ways of the Lord…I am also grateful to the many other communities both here in Ireland and in Trinidad and Tobago whose prayers make all the difference…” The officiating bishop was Bishop Denis Nulty of the Diocese of Kildare and Leighlin. The other brother ordained was Matthew Farrell OP.
