Men’s groups come together

The Chaguanas and Paramin Catholic men’s groups came together February 24 for a joint Lenten retreat titled ‘What are you wearing?’. It was held at the Our Lady of Guadalupe RC Church, Paramin. Parish priest Fr Matthew d’Hereaux conducted the retreat based on Ephesians 6:10–17.

He asked the men if at home, work, recreation and church they were dressed with the belt of Truth; the shield of Faith; the helmet of Salvation, the breastplate of Righteousness and the shoes of Zeal to spread the Gospel of Jesus. Fr d’Hereaux challenged each man present to continuously raise the bar on the standards they set for themselves and not to settle for mediocrity.
