La Brea RC visits senior citizens home

Pupils and teachers of La Brea RC Primary visited the St Helena Charles Home for Senior Citizens at Pier Road, Point D’or, La Brea, on Tuesday, December 12 to spend some time with the residents of the home.

The Standard Five pupils of Curleen Peters-Martin’s class carried hampers that they made, bringing items such as toiletries, rags and hand-towels they bought for the residents. The day was spent listening to stories of the past and playing games. They joined them for lunch and entertained the residents with songs and jokes.

They took a tour of the home which was given by the residents themselves. The Principal Laura Chen along with part owner of the home, Augustine Pascall also accompanied the children. It was indeed a day well spent.
