To mark their 45th anniversary, The Love Movement will host their bi-annual tea party and concert on Sunday, November 12 at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom from 4 p.m. Proceeds from the venture will go towards the The Republic Bank Love Movement Youth Outreach Programme. The Love Movement has mentored thousands and provided holistic development to “at risk” and underprivileged young people through the medium of the performing arts and spiritual development.
The upcoming concert entitled ‘A Feast of Love’ promises to be entertaining and heartwarming. It will feature The Lights of Love Children’s Choir in the Christmas Musical ‘A Rocking Royal Christmas’.
This is an upbeat and soul-stirring story about Herod’s plan to find the Three Wise Men who never returned to him as he had commanded. He does this by hiring a detective, who finds his job challenging and relies on a librarian and an inn-keeper to get his information. This musical is under the direction of Drama Director Dr Helmer Hilwig, with choreography by Adrian Daniel and Keisha Knox.
The members of the Republic Bank Love Movement Youth Outreach Group and the Adult Choir will present ‘Cinemagic’ as they take everyone down memory lane with medleys of songs from Academy Award winning movies. Heather Henderson-Gordon and Lesley Lewis-Alleyne will choreograph this segment.
The entire cast will end the evening with favourite Christmas songs and carols, setting the mood for the Christmas Season.
All seats for ‘A Feast of Love’ are reserved and cost $300/$350. Tickets are available from members of The Love Movement or by calling 367-4482. Contact The Love Movement via email: the.love.movement.tt@gmail.com
