Caribbean School For Catholic Communications 2016 – A Recap

The 2016 Caribbean School for Catholic Communications ended on August 6th, and for the second year the Camsel New Media department was invited to participate.
Focused on forming missionary disciples in a digital age, the Caribbean School for Catholic Communications (CSCC) is a collaborative effort administered by the Living Water Community in partnership with The Institute for Pastoral Initiatives at the University of Dayton, Dayton, Ohio (USA) and acknowledgement of Archbishop Joseph Harris.
2016 was the twenty third year for the CSCC held in Trinidad and Tobago and this year’s theme focus was “The Year of Mercy.”
View our contributions below as well as a key presentation from Bishop Jason Gordon about what it means to be a Catholic Communicator in the Caribbean Today.
Camsel was asked to contribute three presentations towards the School’s 2016 objectives which included-

  • Introducing participants to the practical skills of pastoral communications planning
  • Practicing the skills for effective design and development with digital resources
  • Introduction to the rationale, meaning and understanding of the Jubilee Year of Mercy
  • Exposure to creative opportunities to identify a variety of both digital media techniques and faith dialogue.
