The Archdiocese has been exceptionally generous in giving to the cause of Haiti. The Archbishop expresses his gratitude for your generous contributions to help the people of Haiti.

Parishes, communities, organisations and individuals have contributed to the total amount of $2.5m. Details are listed hereunder.

Funds collected will be forwarded to the Catholic Church in Haiti by way of the Apostolic Nunciature in Port of Spain (Embassy of the Vatican).

As we continue to help Haiti any further contributions can be made by cheque payable to R.C. Archbishop of POS referenced Haiti Relief or direct deposits to Republic Bank Account R.C. Archbishop of POS/Charities A/C # 150252065401.

PRAYER FOR HAITI

Almighty and powerful God we know that all things work together for good for those that love you (Rom 8:28).

We ask you, Lord to heal the wounds inflicted by the recent disaster in Haiti: broken families, hurting individuals, devastated infrastructure, and shattered communications.

We pray that our leaders will be inspired to sustain their people at this time and to engender a deep spirit of solidarity, so that a new spirit of caring, forgiveness and honesty will be born again in our region.

May we, as a united people, move with clear purpose to do our part within the Caribbean community to help rebuild the people and the nation of Haiti.

We make this prayer through Jesus Christ, Lord of all. Amen
